Nighthawk AC1900 WiFi Cable Modem Router (C7000v2) Won't stay connected to internet
Netgear "service" is unbelievable. My whopping 90 days of "complimentary support" expired 2 weeks ago. Yesterday, the router stopped connecting to the internet. Nothing was changed in the settings of the router.. We power cycled, no change. We factory reset, no change. we can connect to the router wirelessly, but there is no internet connection. We noticed that the internet connection will show "connecting" briefly every so often, but before i can try to load a web page, the connection is gone.
We've checked with out ISP (Xfinity). no outages - they cannot see our device. I created a ticket with Netgear and called tech support. The guy tells me that because we can connect to the router wirelessly, the issue is a configuration issue (not hardware) which isnt covered by the warranty soi have to pay them. How does the configuration change by itself just 2 weeks after my "complimentary support" expired?? This sounds extremely shady to me. How can a product be under warranty for a year, but customer service is only good for 90 days?
Can anyone help with this issue, please? I can't afford to throw out a $180 router and buy another one.

Log into your C7000 and get a screen snip of the cable connections page and the event logs and post them back on here.
Those let us check your connection to xfinity. If xfinity isn't seeing it on their network, it isn't connecting or has a poor signal.
Also, check your coax line for damages, loose/old/bad/cheap/corroded connections and replace them if you do. Remove any splitters, amplifiers, or signal attenuators from the coax line.
Preferrably, move the C7000 to right where the coax comes into the home and connect there. This prevents wiring in the home from being the issue.
