NightHawk AC2300 no internet and no router connectivity

Nighthawk 3 month old, went to move the location of the router and modem, and now the router refuses the internet from the modem.  Modem is Spectrum ET2251 and when I hook up my Spectrum supplied router it works fine.  Downloaded the latest version of firmware and installed via routerlogin.net interface.  This had no effect on the router, still just a flashing internet light (amber).  power cycled many times, even hard reset.  Also started the system up in the correct sequece but still no joy.  Fortunely have the backup router but miss the range and feature or the 2300.
