Nighthawk AC2300 WiFi drops internet
Everything worked great for a year, then WiFi stopped working. The signal shows as connected on each device, but no internet. All Ethernet connected devices, TV, IMAC, etc still work no problem so I know its not the internet. But no WiFi internet. Once I reboot the router everything works again. Today we had to reboot 4 times. Any suggestions? Sounds like maybe a setting or something. But I have no idea.
Thanks for the help

1. What firmware is on your R7000P
2. What modem/gateway is it connected to?
Sorry for the delay. Been away from the router. I did more research and found that it could be a firmware issue when they added Armor? I was planning on going back to v1.3.0.20 when I return home hoping that will fix it.
firmware: It is the newest version - 1.3.1.64_10.1.36?Maybe
Modem: Surfboard SB6190
Am I on the right track?
Thanks
Donovan
It can sometimes be armor that causes it. Before downgrading the firmware though, I'd try reinstalling the current firmware (not the one you're on), then doing a factory reset and reinstall. during the reinstall just make sure not use a backup configuration.
Reason I say try this first is if something in the firmware or the settings is corrupt, reinstalling the firmware and doing a clean install can overwrite the error.
If that doesn't work, then try downgrading to the pre=armor version.
when you install the firmware, the latest is 1.3.3.140
- I am having the exact same issue. I've had my internet company out twice now and modem is fine. I work from home and am BEYOND frustrated!!! I can't take this dropping anymore. I just bought this router in February and it wasn't cheap. I need to get this to stop dropping internet. Please help!
scfancher Please start your own thread. To say you have the "exact same issue" when the OP hasn't even responded with the appropriate details makes it suspicious. we strongly encourage people to start their own threads and include complete details as rarely do people have the same isp, modem, firmware, setups.
