Nighthawk C7000 Cable Modem Router and R7000 Smart Wifi Router
I just purchased a AC1900 Wifi Cable Modem Router model number C7000. I have a fairly large house and I want to extend my wifi signal. Can I use the AC1900 Smart Wifi Router model number R7000 for this? My intent is to connect the two via an ethernet cable. I would then also connect a Playstation PS3 to the R7000 router via an ethernet cable also. Not sure if this is the way to do this or not. Am I doing this correctly or is there a different setup I could use?
Thanks for your help..

Yes, you can connect the two together with an Ethernet cable.
But first you need to configure the R7000 to act as an Access Point.
You may see the link below on how to configure the R7000 in Access Point mode.
How do I change my Nighthawk router to AP mode after I’ve already run setup?
