Nighthawk needs remote reboot
I am at my summer home and my Nighthawk router located at my winter home requires a remote reboot. My modem checks out ok. I have downloaded the Nighthawk app but have had no success in contacting the Nighthawk. Can someone please assist? I would think I would need to supply network name and password for the Nighthawk which of course operates with a different internet service than the one at my summer residence. Before leaving, I noted info on the bottom panel:NETGEAR54(SSID) and the default password, but I do not use those. Thanks.

Has it a model number? Firmware version? Connected to what?

"requires"? You determined this how, exactly?

what you did. It does not say what happened when you did it. As usual,
showing actual actions (commands) with their actual results (error
messages, LED indicators, ...) can be more helpful than vague
descriptions or interpretations.> [...] I would think I would need to supply network name and password

than one.Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your (actual) model number,
and look for Documentation. Get the User Manual (at least). Read.
Look for "Types of Logins" and "remote".> [...] which of course operates with a different internet service than

For an explanation of why I believe that you're doomed, see:

There seems to be a rash of these queries, lately.

Look it up in the manual for whatever router this is you are talking about.
Visit the support pages:

Feed in your model number and check the documentation for your hardware.
You may have done that already. I can't tell from your message.
I mention it because Netgear gave up on supplying paper manuals and CD versions some years ago and people sometimes miss the downloads. If your hardware supports Remote Management, most do, you can control and reboot a working router but it is hard to see how you can access something that is off line, if that is the problem you see.
