[Nighthawk R6700v3] cannot access
Hello,
I am going to be honest but I am really starting to hate netgear products. This is the most frustrating piece of hardware that I have from them and it is driving me completely crazy.
First, it doesn't save the configuration so if I shut it down or unplug it for some reason, I have to plug a network cable on it to configure it once again. I am not the only one impacted by this, there are many posts like this on this community forum about that.
Recently, I cannot even finish the configuration. For example, I go to routerlogin.net and can configure it as access points (wifi 2.4Ghz and wifi 5 GHz) then it reboots. Now I try to connect to it using its ip and I am redirected to https://www.routerlogin.net/genie_index.htm which gives me a 404 - File or directory not found
404 - File or directory not found.
The resource you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.
Maybe there was an unfortunate update that moved things but I cannot finish the setup of the admin password and security questions to access it.
None of this work https://kb.netgear.com/27199/I-can-t-access-my-router-what-do-I-do because of this routerlogin.net website that gives me a 404.
The nighthawk app of my iPhone is useless as well because I cannot do anything with it, I need to setup the wifi guest network and this option can only be enabled from the router itself and not the app.
I tried several factory reset but I always end up at the same spot; I can configure wifi 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz; then reboot it but cannot do anything else because the routerlogin.net redirect gives me a 404.
What should I do, any idea ? Thanks.

What does trying 192.168.1.1 in a web browser do?
What browser are you using? Try MS Edge or Firefox or Opera.

Might try a factory reset and setup from scratch using a wired PC and web browser: https://kb.netgear.com/22697/How-do-I-install-my-NETGEAR-router-using-the-router-web-interface

192.168.1.1 is the default router IP ? I mapped it to something else 192.168.0.180. If I go there after setting up wifi 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz + reboot, I am usually redirected to a page to configure the admin password with security questions and then I can access it and configure the wifi guest. Now I am just redirected to https://www.routerlogin.net/genie_index.htm which gives me a 404 (the error I have in my initial message).
I must have been doing the same steps 10-15 times in the last 3 years because this router doesn't save the configuration. I never had this problem before.
I have my normal router (network provider) and then I have the nighthawk that I use as an access point where I have all the wifi (2.4Ghz, 5Ghz, guest wifi that I use for IoT devices). I am normally wired to my network provider router unless I have to setup the nighthawk when I just change the network cable from the main router to the nighthawk.
I tried to use firefox, chrome, edge. I just can't reach the admin page to setup the admin password with any of them after the first setup (wifi) + forced reboot.
It looks to me that the redirection is wrong. What's the main page that should be accessed on the nighthawk because 192.168.0.180 redirects me to 192.168.0.180/start.htm then https://www.routerlogin.net/genie_index.htm where I get the 404

I recommend doing the factory reset and setup from scratch with the web browser and use the default IP address 192.168.1.1.
Is there a router in front of the R6700?
What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
