Nighthawk R6700v3 PPPoE setup for Fidium fiber?

I have new Fidium service but opted to use my Netgear Nighthawk R6700v3 router instead of their router which I understand is pretty locked down. Problem is I can't seem to get internet working over W...

What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?

 

Try using DHCP instead of PPPoE on the NG router...

Supposedly authentication happens with PPPoE. They are switching over to MAC and serial in the near future.

    Can they move the PPPoE to the ONT and then let the NG router use DHCP?

      I don't believe so. I'm not even sure I can access the ONT

        For this kind of ISP service, the R6700v3 is using older generation hardware so even if you got this to work, it may not work well or to spec. I would recommend you get into a newer generation router to use with this ISP service.
