Nighthawk R6900 Internet Access Only Wired

I have had the R6900 almost a year and have not had any problems with it.  I was going to upgrade the firmware on it so I turned it upside down to get the model number of it.  Now the WIFI does not work!

I tried unplugging the modem and Wireless modem and plugging in again.  No luck.  The only lights I get on the R6900 are the two on the left side.  Power and internet.   I can get internet when I wired directly to my computer, but now wifi signal at all.  I tried unplugging the internet wire from my router to R6900 with out any luck.

Any suggestions?

  • You may have inadvertently pressed the physical Wi-Fi On/Off button.  Try pressing it again.

If that doesn't help, try a factory reset.  There's an option to erase all settings in the menus.  Alternatively, press and hold the physical reset button for about 8 to 10 seconds, release after all lights flash on and off.

And check the LEDs on the front of the router.

Thanks, I didnt realize that there was a on/off switch there.  I had an idea it would have been something stupid like that.

      Thanks again!
