Nighthawk R9000 - Port identification

Is there any way to determine which physical port on the router that a device is connected to? I'm trying to work backward and identify all the physical connections but it's a pain because all my hard-wired devices are remote and the connections on my connector cables at the panel are not labeled. Looking at "Attached Devices" does not do it. Many thanks for a response.

  • You would need to unplug the ethernet cables from the back of the router and look at the LEDs on top to see which port # are which and plug one cable in to each port at a time to see which one is which.

There should be raised numbers or printed numbers in back on the LAN ports.

If not you might take a picture of the ports and print this out and have this on hand to look at.
