Nighthawk router question

I have a Charter Spectrum Modem and have my own Apple Airport Express (The flat square with the green light). It’s starting to not connect as much anymore so I went ahead and picked up the Netgear Nighthawk AXE7300. I did a power cycle reset for the modem, and after the lights were set and ready, I turned on the new router and let it connect. In the app, it shows the cables and everything is connected, and my PC and phone show the new NetGear network. But it isn’t connecting to the internet. I believe this may be something with my Modem or maybe Charters side? I’m not too sure where to go from here. I plugged in my old set up and it connects and works, but can’t seem to get the new router to want to connect. Any ideas or help would be much appreciated!

That isn't something I can find in the Netgear system. What is the model number? Look at the label in the thing.

If this is one of the RAX devices, there may be a better help to seek help.

You might get more help, and find earlier questions and answers specific to your device, in the appropriate section for your hardware. That's probably here:

Nighthawk Routers with WiFi 6 (AX) - NETGEAR Communities

In the meantime you could visit the support pages:

    Support | NETGEAR

Feed in your model number and check the documentation for your hardware.

    Check for various troubleshooting tips.

You may have done this already. I can't tell from your message.

I mention it because Netgear stopped supplying printed manuals and CD versions some years ago and people sometimes miss the downloads.

what actual modem is it from spectrum?

Sometimes it can take a bit for spectrum to release the ip address.

Next time you try. Leave their modem powered off for around 10 minutes.

Then power it on and then the router.

The log into the router through the gui (browser) and look at its settings.
