Nighthawk X6 AC3200 WAN IP DHCP FAILURE

I have a dilema that I have debugged for too many hours.   I have a Nighthawk X6 AC3200 that will not get an IP Address from my Internet Provider's cable Modem (Arris TM822).  I have another router (TP-LINK w/DD-WRT) which will get an IP address without an issue.  I have also briefly connected the cable modem directly to my PC which gets an IP Address without issue.   If I connect the TP-LINK WAN to the cable modem and then connect the Nighthawk WAN to the TP-LINK LAN, the Nighthawk WILL get a private IP Address on the WAN and internet will work through the Nighthawk however I then have the infamous double NAT issue.  On all of these tests, I have unplugged the Cable modem up to 30 minutes.  I have even factory reset the Netgear Nighthawk X6 AC3200.  I have tried copying the TP-Link MAC to the Netgear X6 AC3200 as well.  I have even contacted Internet Provider technical support which resulted in no success.

Recap:

  1. Nighthawk X6 WAN <==> Arris TM822 Ethernet (NO INTERNET, IP 0.0.0.0, NO REPLY TO PACKETS SENT )
  2. TP-Link (DD-WRT) WAN <==> Arris TM822 Ethernet (INTERNET)
  3. PC <==> Arris TM822 Ethernet (INTERNET)
  4. Nighthawk X6 WAN <==> LAN TP-Link (DD-WRT) WAN <==> Arris M822 Ethernet (INTERNET, DOUBLE NAT)

Any thoughts to this issue would be appreciated.

    Has a power off for 1 minute then back ON with the ISP modem and router been performed?
    Be sure to restart your network in this sequence:
    Turn off and unplug modem.
    Turn off router and computers.
    Plug in and turn on modem. Wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
    Turn on the router and wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
    Turn on computers and rest of network.

      Thank you for your response.

      1. Yes I have tried powering off the cable modem and router for upwards of 30 minutes.
      2. I have attempted to factory reset both the cable modem and router.
      3. The NIGHTHAWK DOES NOT obtain a WAN DHCP IP address when connected to the ARRIS TM822 (CABLE MODEM).
      4. The TP-LINK (DD-WRT) DOES obtain a WAN DHCP IP address from the ARRIS TM822 (CABLE MODEM).
      5. My PC (ETHERNET) DOES obtain a WAN DHCP IP address from the ARRIS TM822 (CABLE MODEM).
      6. The NIGHTHAWK DOES obtain a WAN DHCP IP address when connected to the TP-LINK.

        Internet Provider support did mention that they had issues with Netgear routers.   Not sure if that means they have a permanent ban on them somehow but replacing the MAC on the WAN side should resolve that issue.
