Nighthawk X6 R7900 throttling internet speeds

I just recently purchased this router and it is not hitting my regular 1gbps speeds.  I tried resetting the router, I have QOS off and traffic mngt off as well.  When I plug my PC directly into my modem the speeds are 950up/down.  I tried a different cable and have firmware updated.  Need some help. Speeds are 400up down when plugged into router.  Wireless speeds are the same but my main concern is the wired connection.
