Nighthawk X6 R8000 Upgrading to latest firmware may have bricked my router

    Thanks Bill,

     

    Unfortuntaely, I have a visual impairment that firmly puts that solution beyond my capabilities.

     

    So, the only solutions available to me would appear to be:

    1. Paying someone else to do it...That is, if it is even possible to locate a Third Party repair shop (or individual for that matter) that would do such a thing.
    2. Outright replacement.

    My thanks to the community, but it appears that I'm hosed.

Other option is break it open and use a serial connection which means getting a serial to USB adapter in most cases. Have recovered r8000 that way. At that point you have nothing to lose unless still under warrenty as you will break the seal to open it up.
