Nighthawk X6 router
Can my Nighthawk X6 router be connected to the Nighthawk 6 Mesh system?
AC3000 is a speed. Not a model.
And multiple routers go by x6 and x6s. It as well isn't a model number.
so an actual model number helps with identifying the router.
Same with mesh. netgear has multiple mesh 6 systems.
Which again is why the model number helps.
The label has the actual model numbers on them.
Be either way, the router won't mesh with the mesh system. You can use it with it as I described prior but it won't function as part of the mesh.

x6 isn't a model and neither is nighthawk mesh.
What actual model's do you have ?
in general, you can connect standard routers to your mesh (hardwired) but they won't function as part of the mesh. You could use them as a backup or seperate network for IoT devices/other wireless device.- SSharp35Tutor
I gave the model number where it asked for it in the form, but here it is again; AC3000 Nghthawk X6 Tri-band WiFi Router. The Mesh system is Nighthawk Mesh WiFi 6 System.
Thanks

The Mesh system actually came with a Router, but my AC3000 seems more robust.

Thanks. The model is R7900 not that it appears to matter. I was hoping for faster wireless. My ISP is 400 my iMac only gets 180 sometimes 260. My iphone gets 364. But working from home through VPN lags, especially at peak times. I'll have to keep searching. Thanks

hitting 180mbps should be plenty for using a vpn.
the other issue comes down to the vpn. Some vpn's are rediculously slow.
an easy test to see if its the vpn or if the wireless? hardwire in the device using the vpn to the router. If its still slow, its the vpn. If it works fine, then its the wireless.
