Nighthawk X6S R8000P AC4000 USB Disk no more available since upgrade to 1.4.0.10_1.2.14
Hello,
Since the last firmware upgrade I made 3 days ago to firmware version 1.4.0.10_1.2.14 the external USB disk is no more available/shown in the ReadySHARE Storage interface.
The external USB disk worked perfectly before, I used it for Windows backups and file archive.
It is a Western Digital MyBook 8TB, connected to the USB 3 port of the router.
The computer is a Windows 10 Pro.
Am I the only one with this issue?
Hello,
Netgear finally made a new firmware that is working just perfectly!
All previous issues have been solved.
Firmware Version V1.4.1.24_1.2.20
GUI Language Version V1.4.1.24_2.1.46.1
Very good, but next time please make more tests before releasing new firmware versions.

Hello again,
The only I found so far, has been to downgrade to the previous firmware version 1.3.0.10_1.2.2 and the external USB disk is working fine again.
I hope Netgear will make corrections with a new and better firmware update.

Same issue for me. My USB drive is a 8TB My Book.
Downgrading the firmware fixed the issue for me as well.

Hello bmzero,
Do you use the Access Control on the router?
If yes, did you have issues with this function you too? (I created another discussion about that)
I hope Netgear will soon find a solution for those issues.

I have the same issue when attempting to use my WD EasyStore 8TB external drive with my R7900P/Nighthawk X6S. It will not connect/acknowledge that a USB disk has been connected to the router's USB port. This occurred after upgrading to firmware version 1.4.0.10_1.2.14.
