Nighthawk x6s r8000p problem

So this happened and I haven’t messed with it but 2 times in the past 7 months.
All the wires are good and all the lights are on and I can connect to the router with any device and it says it’s connect but I don’t get actually connected I have reset the system and done all the trouble shooting that there can be done atleast I think. And I know I have to update the firmware but I can’t Becuase there’s no actual internet connection I can’t figure it out and I need help and it’s been driving me nuts. When I go into the app I connect to the internet but it always says cannot connect

What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?

Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6 is recommended.

How is the wifi and advanced wifi settings configured on the router?

What channels are you using? Auto? Try Auto and 48 on 5Ghz. Or try setting manual channel 1, 6 or 11 on 2.4Ghz and 40 to 48 channel on 5Ghz.
Any Wifi Neighbors near by? If so, how many?

What devices do you have all connected?
Happening with wireless and wired devices?

    What says connected?

What doesn't get connected to what?

Does your router get an Internet connection?

Is this wifi stuff or wired devices?

Is it just a wifi app that causes you grief?

Can you login to the router with the browser graphical user interface (GUI)?
