Solved

No Wifi Connection

We unplugged the router to rearrange.  When we plugged it back in the 2.4 and 5 ghz lights do not light and wifi does not work.  The wifi button does nothing.

Thanks for trying to help.  The problem is resolved.  Not knowing much about it, I went to the Netgear website and installed it -as if I had never had a router.  I did hold all of the buttons for 10-20 seconds and the 3rd time I tried the reset button (again for at least 10 seconds) the lights came on.

Which "The wifi button"?  The "WiFi On/Off button with LED", or the
"WPS button with LED", or something else?

If you don't already have the User Manual, then visit
http://netgear.com/support , put in your model number, and look for
Documentation.  Get the User Manual.  Read.

Pressing this button for two seconds turns the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz
          WiFi radios on and off.

For how long did you press "The wifi button" when it did nothing?

If you point a web browser at your "the router" (an R6700?), does it
have anything interesting to say?  Firmware version?
