Orange light on nighthawk model ax43

Hello! Just set up my router and the internet light is orange (second light right). Why is that and how can i fix it. Thanks

Orange indicates 100 Mbps speed instead of 1 Gbps. What's yoour modem? which router do you actually have?

Thanks for the quick reply. My modem is from my ISP and there is nothing written on it just a black box.I just bought and installed the Nighthawk model AX42

Your title says AX43 but now you say AX42. Which is it?&nbsp;Most likely your modem operates at 100 Mbps or if not, your cable is faulty or not CAT5e or higher

CAT5e is the type of the cable. CAT5e can provide a maximum of 1 Gbps speeds. CAT6 and CAT7 provide far higher speeds. So if you have 1 Gbps connection, you need at least CAT5e cable, preferrably CAT6
