Port 8883 block on X6 R8000 Router
How can I unblock port 8883
Cox says it is because of my router
I am trying to install a garage door opener with Amazon
Amazon says that port should be open
I have a nighthawk X6 R8000 Router

The My Q support person had me go on
Ismyportopen.com
I entered port 8333 and it was block. She said I should call Cox and have them open the port
I called Cox - The said they do not block the port. My router was blocking that port

The usual "blame the router" tactic. Properly designed Internet of Things (IoT) things should not require that sort of messing around.
You might get more help if you tell people exactly what this thing is.
