Problems with Security Key on R9000

Hello, I recently a used router and when setting it up through the Nighthawk app on my iPhone I am prompted to enter the Wi-Fi password for Netgear93. I have repeatedly tried to use the supplied password on the router, but it won't allow me to login. What is happening here and how can I fix it?
  • Maybe it was changed. Did you try factory resetting the router? Push and hold reset for 7-15 seconds while its powered on.

If that doens't work, you can cheat and just hardwire into the router via ethernet and set it up that way. That allows you to bypass needing the wifi password and you'll be able to change it during setup.

I'll try reseting it later, but just in case that does not work, could you explain what you mean by "hardwire into the router?"

Using an ethernet connection from a laptop/desktop to the router.

The app based and wifi based methods are where we see the most issues with corrupt firmware
