R6700 - AC1750 Smart WiFi Router random loss of DNS ??
To me, a very strange problem. Within the past month (December 2021), my R6700v3 just seems to randomly lock up. The lights still blink, the taskbar still "shows" an internet connection. It has not happened more than one time in a given day -- most of the time it occurs every other day or every 2 or 3 days. Using different browsers on different desktop PC's, one wireless and one wired, with different DNS servers, all machines just seem to feeze the entire PC (browser is non-responsive).. Sometimes I can shut the machines down using the Windows 10 Pro start menu shortcuts and sometimes the mouse will move but no clicks will work and I have to use the PC power button. Mouse right-clicks do not work. Keyboard Ctl-Alt-Del does not work.

Any ideas please from you pros to narrow down my troubleshooting and or try a solution?

there is actually a newer version of the firmware. You could try updating to that first, then do the factory reset/reinstall.

have you tried a factory reset reinstall?
Or reinstalling the firmware and then factory reset/reinstall (If firmware is corrupt, a reinstall is needed)
Or maybe the firmware is the issue. have you tried downgrading to an older firmware?Thank you for your reply. I have done nothing except to reboot the router when I have the problem repeat. Is there a link available giving me some guidance on these procedures or should I search here for steps to accomplish what you have asked me about? When it come to these type of issues, I will admit right up front that I am definitely a newbie.
