R6700v3 connects to internet about every 60 minutes
Looking at my log I see that the router connects to the internet about every 30 or 60 minutes. I don't see any entries indicating that it lost internet connection. This doesn't seem to affect my TV streaming or other functions. Is this normal for this router?
Here are some entries:

HI Guys,
Surprise. It looks like COMCAST has fixed whatever was causing the router to reconnect to the internet every hour. I haven't had any more reconnects since 15:00 yesterday.
Nothing changed here so I had to be COMCAST.
Cheers

What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6 is recommended.I'd check with the ISP modem and service to see whats happening there. The router relies upon the ISP modem to be in good working order. Modems can cause problems as well and thus the router is reporting it maybe in this way.

The router is running V1.0.4.126_10.0.102 . My ISP is Comcast and the modem is Arris TM822. Comcast was out and replaced the drop cable ans indicated that there may be an issue with the Amp on the pole and referred it to maintenance..
I'm looking to replace the modem with a new model. That may fix things. Like I said, it doesn't seem to be causing any usage issues so it's not a major deal.

Sounds the the router is noticing the drop from the modem an the drop maybe a quick drop and reconnect.
This shouldn't be happening every hour though.

Hey, this looks like something going on with Comcast. You are seeing the same problem I'm having. different modem and different router. The only common thing is we both have COMCAST. I wonder if there are other Comcast users out there that could check their router log? The only good thing is that it doesn't seem to be affecting service.
Cheers

Guaranteed the answer to your question is yes. The activity is part of the Comcast infrastructure upgrade that is taking place all over the US.
If you have not seen this map, it shows where the upgrade activity has been completed. Click the gear icon on the right side to adjust your settings. Zoom in to your area. See attached.
