Power Off the modem and press the reset button in back of the router for 15 seconds then release. Power ON the modem. Give 2 minutes then with your hard wired PC connected, see if your web browser can start the setup wizard at 192.168.1.1

Please explain "cannot connect".
- Obviously, a device wired to the router with a cable is "connected". Even if the device reports "no internet", it should be able to do various things with the router, such as
o 'ping' the router using its IP address
o connect to the router web interface using the IP address - In terms of WiFi, does the WiFi name (SSID) appear as one of the available networks?

Sitting at my Mac that has a hard connection to the router, I enter 192.168.1.1 and it says page failed to open. Connection to the extender via WiFi and the router log in appears. FYI, the Internet light on the router is blinking white. The manual says it should be solid white.
