R6900P Router and Access Point
Hello...
I recently upgraded to 2 R6900P routers. 1 acts as wifi router, 2 is in access mode.
I used the wizard to set up. By doing this the IP for 2 in access mode is assigned dynamically. I would like to make it static at 192.168.1.2.
But, now there are settings in 2 access mode that are grayed out not letting me make any changes.
How do I set the the access mode device to a static ip of 192.168.1.2?

Actual static (configured on the device itself), or reserved dynamic
(configured on the DHCP server (on the main router))? Either one
qualifies as "fixed" (reliable, and so on).
The easy way might be to reserve a dynamic address for the
R6900P-as-WAP in the DHCP server of the R6900P-as-router. (ADVANCED >
Setup > LAN Setup : Address Reservation.)
If you start assigning actual static addresses to gizmos, then you
should shrink the DHCP pool to keep those static addresses out of the DHCP
pool. (It's ok with me. I do it.)
A static address for the wireless access point was the option you
passed up when you didn't choose "Enable fixed IP settings on this
device (not recommended)".

Sure, but which ones bother you? I'd guess that the LAN IP address
is what you want to fiddle, and that that one (and its friends) should
be active. (ADVANCED > Setup > LAN Setup : LAN TCP/IP Setup on the
R6900P-as-WAP.) Note that, although you may be using the WAN/Internet
(labeled) port on the R6900P-as-WAP, in this WAP mode, it's really
all-LAN, so its _LAN_ IP address (et al.) is the one of interest.
Worst case: reset the R6900P-as-WAP, start again, and choose the
"(not recommended)" option, but you shouldn't need to do that.
