R7000 - password recovery and factory reset not working
Hi, I'm having trouble accessing the device.
Default password "admin" "password" is not working. Tried simple reset via hardware (10 seconds holding reset button).
Tried reset 30 seconds on, 30 seconds off, 30 seconds on again. Again to no avail. Access credentials do not work.
When I go to the recovery screen I have to make a short change to the source code to enable the "continue" button. After entering the Serial I am forwarded to a screen that asks me two questions that have never been configured. Since I don't have the answers (I left it blank and it didn't work either), I couldn't follow the password recovery.
The firmware version that appears on the http://www.routerlogin.net screen is V1.0.9.34_10.2.36.
Also download the firmware to see if I can send via TFTP, but on Linux I was not successful, as the host does not respond to the tftp "put" command.
Could anyone help me on this issue? Thank you and be well.

So with the router disconnected from the ISP modem and only 1 wired PC connected, pressing the reset button for 10 seconds then release, wiating for a couple of minutes and with MS Edge or Firefox browser, you can see the setup wizard at 192.168.1.1?

TFTP isnlt the easiest move. Timing is important. It can take several attempts.

You can get locked into a closed loop.
If password recovery is enabled, but you have not set the answers to the questions, it keeps sending you back to the beginning of the process. If you haven't already given the thing your personal answers, they are not in its memory and it has no way of knowing if they are correct.
If the standard factory password (password) does not work, then you will have to factory reset the thing to get back to that. Then either disable password recovery (check the manual for your device) or provide some answers to those questions.
