R7000 5g keeps losing internet. 2.4 unaffected.
I've been using this router for quite some time and this just started happening.
Clients on the 5g will suddenly lose internet but remain connected. If I change the channel on 5g manually, it will begin working again.
Have already factory reset the router.
Any ideas what's going on here?
Constantly happening.

- So, rolling back to 1.0.9.42 seems to have solved my issue, but I'm not so confident in their firmware releases now.
Here's to hoping they don't break anything else. đ

What firmware version do you have on the device?
A number is more useful than "the latest". (It may not be by the time people read this.) There can also be newer versions, or "hot fixes", that do not show up if you check for new firmware in the browser interface.- V1.0.9.60

Wifi is quite common to have problems with this f/w version. Backup one version, V1.0.9.42, reset router, reenter settings (you could try it without doing that but later you might discover other problems) and you should be fine. NG basically has partially pulled that release.

I copy, got exactly same proble, although not sure if clients on 2.4ghz are unaffected. In my case all of the clients, including a TV connected to LAN port loose internet and communication with attached USB hard drive.
This started happening after update to firmwhare version V1.0.9.60_10.2.60.
Router drops connection at least twice a day and the only way to make it work again is power-cycle the router. Hard reset did not help solve the problem. This is extremely annoying!
I am off to Amazon leaving my review and hoping that Netgear gets their stuff together and fix this issue they have created!

Hello bobnecat
Did you try reverting back to the .42 firmware?

- LouiselukeAspirantHow do u roll back the firmware?
I have a similar problem with firmware 1.0.1.64_1.0.1

Same problem - intemittently loosing Internet over wifi or hard wired. Have to reboot to reacquire. Running v 1.0.1.70. Been patiently waiting for Netgear to address this now it looks like I have to be Netgear's uncompensated employee and rollback, reset & reconfigure the router. MAC Mojave. Big fail on Netgear's part.
