R7000 AC1900 - AP mode does not connect to primary router with WIFI
I want to use my old R7000 to extend my wifi coverage in my house. I have a new primary router provided by my internet service company. The new router is a Calix GS4220E EXOS 25.1.0 and has been working well for several months.
I have configured the R7000 for AP mode successfully using an ethernet cable connection to the router. What I want is to connect the R7000 to the router via WIFI. Is this supported in AP mode?

No, it is not an option for you. You'll need to purchase a wifi extender.
Alternatively, the GS4220E is a mesh router, so you could add another Calix element. You could contact your ISP for that. If you want to try adding your own, you could add a second GS4220E, or a GM1028 (Per google, so worth double-checking). Both are available on ebay (mostly used).
