After FW was updated, had you factory reset the router and setup from scratch then after all was setup on the router, save off a backup configuration to file for safe keeping?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6 is recommended.

The firmware hasn’t been updated recently. Unless it was automatic somehow.
when it was updated, I did not set it up from scratch, it has been running issue free for several months until yesterday. I have made a backup now to help get us back up quicker.
I am unable to get the modem information for a while. I believe the cable is cat 6 although I don’t see why the cable would cause a factory reset.
