R7000 Cannot Reset Admin Password

Question

Wanted to get into some settings and realised I don't remember my password. It promted me to enter my serial number but when I did, the "continue" button remained grayed out. I can't seem to get beyond that step.

Press the reset button in back for 15 seconds then release and setup from scratch:

Fair enough. Was hoping this was a known problem with a solution and I wouldn’t have to do that.
