R7000 Internet Connectivity Issue
I'm suddenly having issues with my Nighthawk R7000.
I have a work laptop that is connected to the WiFi on the router and seems to be working fine. It's actually what I'm posting this message from.
However, I can't get any other devices to have internet connection.
The Home page of the R7000 admin portal says Internet is "Not Connected". The R7000 has a wired connection to my CenturyLink (CL) router. I have the WiFi antenna on the CL router disabled.
I tried a factory reset on the router and set up the same WiFi settings again and that didn't help. I've also power cycled the CL router.
Firmware on the R7000 is v1.0.11.126_10.2.112. It's set to auto update. When I try to run a manual check for an update, it says it can't connect to the internet.
The thing that's really got me is that the work laptop connects just fine.

I figured out how to manually update the firmware to v1.0.11.216_10.2.122.
That seems to have helped.

Might try one of these with the ISP Router as well:
If your ISP Modem already has a built in router and wifi. This would be a double NAT (two router) condition which isn't recommended. This would be a double NAT condition which isn't recommended. https://kb.netgear.com/30186/What-is-Double-NAT

Couple of options,
1. Configure the modem for transparent bridge or modem only mode. Then use the NG router in router mode. You'll need to contact the ISP for help and information in regards to the modem being bridged correctly.
2. If you can't bridge the modem, disable ALL wifi radios on the modem, configure the modems DMZ/ExposedHost or IP Pass-Through for the IP address the NG router gets from the modem. https://kb.netgear.com/25891/DMZ-on-NETGEAR-routers

3. Or disable all wifi radios on the modem and connect the NG router to the modem, LAN to LAN configure AP mode on the NG router.

Try option #2 first...
Glad the FW update helped too. Please mark your thread as solved so others will know. Be sure to save off a back up configuration to file for safe keeping. Saves time if a reset is needed.
