R7000 Not allowing full speed
Need some help getting router to allow full ISP speed. Here’s where I’m at: Upgraded ISP speed to 300Mbps, but have always had consistent 96-98Mbps speed, even after upgrade. Had service provider her...

Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your model number, and look
for Documentation. Get the User Manual (at least). Read. Look for the
LED descriptions and "Troubleshoot". Then look at the LAN Ethernet
port-status LEDs on the router?

What makes you think that the router is your bottleneck?

That suggests that the link between the modem and the router is
running at gigabit/s speed.

I know nothing about your (unspecified) "Apple TV", but many TVs have
slower-than-gigabit/s Ethernet ports; they simply don't need higher
speed to do their job. I'd expect an amber port-status LED on that
connection.

Wireless speeds depend on many things, including the capabilities of
the client device. Such theoretical maximum speeds are seldom
realistic.

Apologies for leaving out that detail. I did read the manuals and troubleshooting as much as I could before posting, which is why I’m now posting because I’m stuck

Because I mentioned modem speeds are fine, but output after router seems to be the issue. Unless it’s cables, which I also mentioned I swapped out for new ones.

Exactly, so this is also the reason for thinking the issue above.

Agree and nothing to worry about here. I just posted that detail for context as to what was plugged into the router, since details are sometimes helpful.

Not sure why the link. Are you advising to try the latest firmware?- antinodeMay 02, 2021Guru

This reveals what, exactly, about what the LEDs are doing?

Then about what, exactly, are you complaining? "speed" to _what_?

You seem to be trying different versions, none of which is the
latest. Any reason?
