It's your call of course. I'm quite happy with my 7000's.. The architecture is Qualcomm, which did not work out the way they intended. If you see the 7500 on sale, it's for a reason.. I'll tell you this te sweet spot won't be the 7500.. But, hey, it's your $$$..

At present R7000 is more mature and it has some 3rd party f/w options as well; Merlin, Kong's dd-wrt. etc.
I had both one time. It was a haste to replace R7000 running very well on dd-wrt. Had R7500 for a month or so
and replaced it with Linksys EA8500 which is very stable. I have quite a few things connected to this router
on our home network.
