R7000P Configuration page refusing connection
R7000P nighthawk becomes unresponsive when WiFi starts acting up and refuses connections over local ethernet wire to hard coded IP 192.168.1.1. Yet the nighthawk app can reach the modem over my cellular network. Can anyone please explain?

You sure thats the IP address of the router? I can change to something different if there is a upstream router in front of the R7000 using same 192.168.1.1 address, the R7000 can detect this and change to maybe a 10.something address...

Hi FURRYe38, thanks for replying.
I have a Motorola M8600 along with R7000P(v.1.3.3.142 -HotFix)
No other routers. I'm already logged into the config page when this occurs so I'm pretty sure it's the right IP.

Details are key.
1. what modem/gateway do you have?
2. what firmware is on the router?
3. how long has this been going on for?

Hi plemans, thanks for replying.
Motorola M8600 > R7000P (v1.3.3.142-HotFix)
This has been going on for a few months.

Maybe mean the MB8600 (there isn't a m8600).
Try installing the 1.3.0.20 firmware to the R7000P. Its the version prior to netgear armor. When it first came out, a lot of r7000Ps had issues with it but the firmware has gotten much better. Maybe yours is one of the unluck few who's hasn't.
Prior to that, I'd try doing a factory reset and new install on the R7000P. don't use a backup configuration. If that doesn't help, then try the downgrade.

Hard coded? Not really. The router will set it according to the local circumstances on your network.
What is the modem/gateway, if there is one, in front of this router?

Hi michaelkenward, thanks for replying.
I have a Motorola M8600 along with R7000P(v.1.3.3.142 -HotFix)Being already logged into the configuration page, I lose access once WiFi issues arise (wired stays ok) with the page refusing connection until cycled. The app however continues to be able to access the router.
