r7000P router cutting wifi speeds in half

Modem: CM1000

Router: R7000P

Channel: auto

My modem, when hardwired, is getting speeds around 500 mbps. When connecting the router to the modem, speeds are reduced by around 50%. The connection cable is new/ high speed. I have tried resetting the router, tried changing channels, tested speeds on different devices, tried changing firmwares (changed from V1.3.1.64_10.1.36 to V1.3.2.134_10.1.66). The physical location of the router in relation to the tested devices is a few feet with no obstructions.

How can I get my wireless router speeds to match my hardwired modem speeds?

These are all wired tests? Wifi will not match wired.

Be sure to disable QoS on the router, along with other features that eat the router's processor power, like traffic metering.
