I already played around with repeaters, additional access points and AVM (Fritzbox) mesh components. Nothing was satisfactory... My mobile devices had always problems when moving from one "AP" to another. What I did not try is a Netgear mesh. Maybe that works better than AVM, but I don't believe in it.
As said before, with my 4 antenna solution I have great coverage, so the coax cables (which are only a few meters long) are not the problem.
The question is actually, why are the ports of R7800 numbered 1,1,2,3? There must be a reason. ;)
As far as I understand, the firmware does nothing about antenna management. It's all done by the WLAN chipset, isn't it?
