R8000 Nighthawk X6 - 5Ghz drops out after V1.0.4.52_10.1.67 firmware upgrade
Recently upgraded from V1.0.4.46 to V1.0.4.52_10.1.67 and now my 5GHz band drops completely on all devices. 2.4GHz still works. I have to either reboot the router or disable/enable both 5GHz wifi radios to get the 5GHz network back on.
Just wondering who else has the same issue and is it worth rolling back to a more stable fw version, or if I should just roll back to V1.0.4.46 which I've not had issues with?
We had a discussion about this here:
As discussed, we feel both 1.0.4.52 and 1.0.4.56-Hotfix are unstable. I tried for a few weeks to get both to work, with no avail. My suggestion is to roll back to 1.0.4.46. It has been stable, and reliable for the entire time I have been running it since Sept. 2019 when it came out. I have only had to reboot, power down, maybe once a month.

If there's a problem after a firmware upgrade, a factory reset and manual reinstall sometimes fixes the issues. I'd start with that and if it doesn't work, you can roll the firmware back to the earlier version.
Btw, there's also a .56 hotfix out. maybe install that, then try the factory reset/reinstall option. I'd recommend any firmware changes be done over a hardwired connection.
thanks for the reply, I've rolled back to the 56 fw, will see how things go over the next day or so.
