R8000 OpenVPN TLS V1.1
Hi Tech community,
Firstly apologies if this has been covered before, I did try to search and though numerous posts regarding OpenVPN exist I couldn't see one for this use case.
I have updated a Windows based client to the latest OpenVPN release (2.6.7) and I am unable to connect due to TLS version mismatch, error message found in logs below:
TLS error: Unsupported protocol. This typically indicates that client and server have no common TLS version enabled. This can be caused by mismatched tls-version-min and tls-version-max options on client and server. If your OpenVPN client is between v2.3.6 and v2.3.2 try adding tls-version-min 1.0 to the client configuration to use TLS 1.0+ instead of TLS 1.0 only
OpenSSL: error:0A000102:SSL routines::unsupported protocol:
I have checked my router is running the latest firmware... am I to assume there is no current support for TLS 1.1 on R8000? So I will fall back to a earlier version of OpenVPN client for now but this is not ideal for security
Thanks in advance
Luke

Something to make contact with OpenVPN and MS about.

How long has it been since you re-created the configuration files and updated your client devices?
So far, I am not having any issues with the OpenVPN version 2.6.7 and the client configuration files created with my R9000. The update to OpenVPN version 2.6.7 was a non event on Windows 10 client machines. I did not update the client configuration files to use with the updated version 2.6.7 application.
