R8000 QOS Performance Optimization Database Not Updating
Hello, Whenever I try to update the Performance Optimization Database in the QoS, it says that it hasn't been updated, despite it from the end of 2015 (version 1.80,1.0.26 from 12/28/2015). My ro...

It is embarrasing that the so-called Dynamic QOS Optimization DataBase has not been updated AT ALL for TWO YEARS!! This shows a massive lack of engineering support for a very expensive WiFi Router and a mistake on my part for purchasing it. If Netgear wants to be a reputable industry leader for the consumer WiFi market, funding MUST be allocated for Netgear engineering services to maintain the daily operational effectiveness in the world of streaming video, etc. I am very disappointed in my purchase due to the lack of Netgear engineering support.

Thank you for your reply. I appreciate the feedback, and am looking forward to having this issue resolved.
Thank you and the Netgear engineers for your help and time.

Thank you again for your help on this issue. Will QoS databse updates after the firmware update be tied to FW updates, or will they be independently updateable?
Also, is there an estimate to when the next firmware update will come out?
Thank you for your time.

Came to the Nighthawk from an old Asus. What a change. Your firmware is garbage and this database issue just highlights just how careless you are with your customers and this space. I am returning this R8000 to the retailer and purchasing another Asus. If you all want to have a better experience, buy a different brand. This interface is from the early 2000's and its functionality is in the same boat.
Never again,

I'm with you. No https, database on recent devices totally ignored for QoS, and I'm not even sure they released a Krack patch firmware yet.
I'm shopping Asus high end models at this point. So sad for Netgear. Could be a great company but they just want sales.

Would it be possible to get and update to my 1/16 questions? I'd like to know if QoS databases after the next firmware update will arrive independently of updates (as initially intended).
Also, any word on when the next firmware update is to be released?
Looking forward to having this QoS issue solved. Thanks for your help.

I can confirm that the new firmware that was released today (1.0.4.12) did update the QoS database.
Is the database version that it was updated to (v1.170) the latest one?Thank you for your help in getting this matter resolved.

at last the database has been updated. can somebody post a link so i can view the actual database entries and what application has the priorities. i thought that when this update happened we would be able to view the application priorities and change them manually if they wasnt to my liking.

Yep. Now databse shows July of last year. Better than 2015 I suppose.
I would like to see the list of priorities as well.
