R8000 Xfinity Slow speed
Any one having or had slow speeds with their R8000 and xfinity comcast? I should be getting close to 400 meg but both wired/wirless are capping out at around 100 meg or less. Plugged stragign into...
I was reading on here that it may be an issue with the firmware update and that a factory reset may help. I will try it out and update if it works.
I actually was on the latest firmware update. But read on a thread to revert to the 1.0.4.28 firware and do a factory reset. Howeve, still having the same issue. :(
Yea, i just did a factory reset went through the entire process and still very slow wifi speeds. Internet and router speeds are 900 and wifi is 60 really bad. Not sure what to do.
Yeah me either. Its really frustrating. This router is like 2 years old and was over $300. Some one from Netgear support need to attend all these firmware issues. Not sure whats going on. CUSTOMERSERVICE

The R8000 is junk after 2 years of owning it,
I only get 350DL on lan should be like 1,000DL
I have Xfinty and get +-20% of my speeds 1,000DL 50UP on (netgear modem ) when tested.
When I test off the R8000 I am lucky to get 350DL on lan cat 5e WIFI is about 150DL
I do use cat7 from modem to router and to a Desktop PC.
I been have update the frimware reset powed off back on still the same.
Now I am thinking putting in the trash what a big waste of my money and time.
Netgear was good at one time.
Time to replace it some thing not sure what yet.
