R8000P — Nighthawk X6S AC4000 Tri Band WiFi Router
Hi all This router doesn't want to connect through PPPoE This is the third Netgear router with the same problem As a standard cable router works great, but doesn't want to conect through PPPoE ...
I was searching the forums to see if there was other users on here with issues but it doesn't look like there much. A post about an orbi with speed issues or pppoe.

You might see if giganet has a forum for users you could check on to see if other users are having issues
You might also try downgrading the routers firmware a version or 2. Some users had issues with the version you're on with ipv4. Maybe its authentication is having issues because of that.
Tried IPV6 as well
No mater what I do, just doesn't want to connect on PPPoE
Other routers are working fine
I liked Netgear routers very much, but now I'm very disapointed........
did you try downgrading the firmware? the IPv6 issue might be causing the authentication issue which is why I was suggesting downgrading (factor reset) and then retrying.
