R8000P Nighthawk router not working with Eero Pro 6E
After trading-in my Zyxel modem with the Eero pro 6E, my R8000P Nighthawk router no longer works. My ISP is Altafiber and I'm using fiber optics. Cat 6 is my cable from my ONT.
Any help would be appreciated.
- Since the eero is managing DHCP, it'll have the address in it's attached devices page. Look that up in the eero and use it to access it

How do you actually have this setup?
You also need to be careful of a double nat.
A double nat happens when you cascade more than 1 router.

Fixes? There’s 3 options but only use 1.
1. Put the modem/gateway in modem only/pass through mode. This disables its routing functions.
2. Leave the modem/gateway in router mode but put the Netgears IP address into its DMZ. This forwards the data to the netgear. You can either leave the modem/gateway’s wireless enabled or disabled. Just make sure its using a different wifi channel to prevent interference
3. Put the Netgear into access point mode. This disables its routing functions. Wifi/ethernet still works but it does disable some features.

Bridge mode did not work either.
In the eero settings, I couldn't find anything like a "pass through" mode.
Regarding changing the Netgear's IP address, I can't connect to it. I can find the wifi, but it says "Internet not available." Or "connected without internet." The Nighthawk app can't find the router.
I've tried resetting the router and the eero gateway devices and have the feeling that the fix is relatively simple, I'm just not finding it.
Hey, I'm a boomer and somewhat technologically challenged. I appreciate you working with me on this.
Thank you!

So how are you actually doing this?
altice gateway----->eero?---->R8000p?
If so, just put the netgear in access point mode.
