R8500 Constant WAN Internet disconnects/connects!
My wireless is rock solid, never disconnects. The WAN is another problem, see below from log: [Internet disconnected] Thursday, Feb 11,2016 02:35:35 [Internet connected] IP address: 192.168....

Same problem here (I started the thread) WAN disconnects.
Cable company came out and tested and replaced the Modem.
2 Hours later I had a WAN disconnect. RMA # 2 will be here today.
I never had this problem with the R7000!

Having a similar issue, although I lose both Wired and Wireless access. Sometimes the router successfully reconnects while in other instances, I have to reboot. I recently applied firmware V1.0.2.28_1.0.42 with hopes some of these issues would encounter more elapsed time between disconnects - no success. I have confirmed my cable modem is not the issue by working with my ISP during the disconnects. I am running QOS and UPnP.

I am experiencing the same problem. The first time it happened, a reboot did nothing. I had to reset it and it worked flawlessly on the beta firmware for a few weeks. This past weekend, out of the blue, it occurred again. I rebooted 3 times and that did nothing. I then reset it but I couldn't get my computers to see it. I finally totally disconnected it and left it for about 30 minutes. I then plugged it back in and connected it as though it were new and it worked. My MTU has always been set to 1492. I do not have QOS enabled but do use UPNP. The only thing that has not worked since is my Readyshare external hard drives. It no longer sees them. Changing cables doesn't work and neither USB port works.

I worked directly with my ISP to calculate the MTU rate and 1500 is where we landed. I tried lower rates, but no changes to the disconnect behaviors.
My calculation -
max packet size (ping test) + IP and ICMP headers = MTU size
1472+28 = 1500

All I am beta testing a new firmware and the WAN disconnect issue seems to be resolved!
Also the radio scheduling issue. Running abot 2 days now no WAN disconnect. Before I would
have at least 1 every 4-5 hours.

What beta firmware other than the one from Jan 9th?
