R8500

Hi. I have a R8500 router. Today it just stopped working. It tries to start up the lights flash, then it seems to go into a continuous restart cycle. It is only 3 months old. I have tried factory reset. I have tried 30/30/30. Also left it switched off for 30 minutes before starting. Totally confused. I suspect a hardware issue.

I got a replacement from Netgear. I paid the additional £20 for next day replacement ....3 days later I received it!!!!

Anyhow.   Installed and started working fine then same thing happened. I replaced the power adapter with the new one and everything is looking good.

Just got to get my £20 back from Netgear now.

    Thanks for your help

Be sure you are using the correct power adapter 19VDC @3 amps...use MyNetgear to get it replaced.

        You're welcome!

Consider yourself Lucky that using old power adapter didn't hose up the replacement. Not a good idea to switch power adapters without knowing the status of it.
