r9000
I have the R9000 Nighthawk router, everything was working fine till this morning. 2 connected desktop PC's have no internet at the ethernet point, WIFI is fine all around the house, but no internet via direct lan cable has internet.
I did a loopback test on the router on all 4 ports and they did not light up, are my router ports faulty? Should I factory reset?
Or is it time to buy a new router?
What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6 is recommended.Has a power off for 1 minute then back ON with the ISP modem and router been performed since last update?
Be sure to restart your network in this sequence:
Turn off and unplug modem.
Turn off router and computers.
Plug in and turn on modem. Wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
Turn on the router and wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
Turn on computers and rest of network.

Update:
I took all those steps, but still no internet, I called ISP to investigate as even a direct connection to PC with modem yielded no internet, they logged into modem and apparantly some code was corrupted on their end, they fixed it and I was back online!!!!!!
I appreciate your help FURRYe38

Glad they got it working. Please mark your thread as solved so others will know. Be sure to save off a back up configuration to file for safe keeping. Saves time if a reset is needed.

If recommendations from FURRYe38 do not lead to a resolution, there is no need to scrap your router just yet.
Recommend you investigate the third party firmware available from Voxel. Here is his website:
https://www.voxel-firmware.com/Downloads/Voxel/html/index.html
Be sure and review the Readme file in the top menu bar first.
The firmware is easy to install and easy to uninstall if you do not like it. Just flash the stock Netgear version over the top. There is an active Voxel forum over on Small Net Builders here: https://www.snbforums.com/forums/netgear-ac-wireless-wi-fi-5.53/
Most users that install Voxel never look back!
