Range Extender Router & Device Link LEDs - ON, No Connection
Hi All,
Background: I currently have an LG TV connected to a Netgear Wireless Modem/Router but wanted to improve the signal. Purchased an EX3700 with that intent.
So I connected the EX3700 to the router using WPS and the Router Link LED shined steady Green. Next, I accessed the network settings on my LG TV and tried to change the TV's wireless connection from the router to the EX3700. The EX3700's Device Link LED also shined steady Green. BUT...my TV's network setting said "Connected to WIFI, Not connected to internet".
Am I missing a step? When I try to setup through a web browser (mywifiext) - rather than WPS -using manual setup per the setup instructions, the link doesn't work.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

A couple questions.
1. what netgear modem/router do you have?
2. Are you connecting the EX3700 to your tv using the ethernet or using wireless?
3. What LG tv is it? Reason I ask is more complex. Base model range extenders (like the ex3700) are fine when you're in an area with very poor to non-useable signal. In an area where you still have coverage, not as much. Reason why is they drop throughput 50% based off the signal they receive. This happens because they have to use the same wireless chip to go router----extender and then extender----devices. And they can't do both at once. So if your tv is an area where it still gets a good enough signal, the extender might actually hurt speeds. Especially sinces its an AC750 device. Many of the newer tv's have a pretty solid wireless chip in them (AC1200) and are more capable than the extender itself is even before the speed reduction it takes.
4. Have you tried setting up the extender using the installation assistant and not WPS?
5. What firmware is on the EX3700

A lot of devices, especially routers, have generic problems that can be answered in any section, But in the case of the EX3700 we are talking about a wifi extender. And these can be a pig to set up.
You might get more help, and find earlier questions and answers specific to your device, in the appropriate section for your hardware. That's probably here:

I will ask the Netgear moderator to move your message.
In the meantime you could visit the support pages:
Support | NETGEAR
Feed in your model number and check the documentation for your hardware.
You may have done this already. I can't tell from your message.
I mention it because Netgear stopped supplying printed manuals and CD versions some years ago and people sometimes miss the downloads.
So I connected the EX3700 to the router using WPS and the Router Link LED shined steady Green.
Do other wifi devices connect to the extender? If not that would help to rule out the TV as the problem.
By the way, when I wanted to get a "smart" Samsung device to connect to the Internet, I invested in Powerline Ethernet and used a pair of plugs over the mains circuit.
