If they're greyed out that's a sign you're not in router mode? So the question is what mode is it in? Did you tinker yourself into an unknown mode?

Thanks for your reply but, the Gemie app, is not my problem. Maybe I wasn't clear enough so let me attempt to clarify it. When I log into the "routerlogin/net" so i can set up QOS, tinker with my security settings, and things of that nature I couldn't as nearly half of those features had been grayed out. So after trying to get the set-up wizard to run again and help me re-install the software, I gave up and un-installed the software. I am running bare and have no apparent control over my WIFI device now.
Does that help any?
Thanks

Now, thats the $64 Mill question. I just hooked it up, as I did my last computer, which was also on Windows 10, ran the Genie App and the set-up wizard, as before. I do not know what happened to it either. I know to being with, I had to redo my Nighthawk, when i fist got it but that was simple and had no trouble getting it to come up correct, that second time. Now, since i have built my own, it seems to be a problem and I am not sure why. I will keep looking myself and see what I can do on this end. Thanks.

Forget the Genie for the time being. Can you log into router directly using it's ip address 192.168.1.1?

Searay, turns out that I was in "Access Point", the whole time. Anyway, I was able to keep resetting the unit and it finallly did a re-install, allowed me to download the Genie App, and go back into "Routerlogin.net" and I was able to set up my unit, the way I had it before I built this one. To dumb to see the forrest for the trees, I guess.
Anyway: To all of you, I appreciate everyone trying help me here. It is a wonderful feeling to know that are people like you guys around. Great community, device, and support from all.
Thanks again,
Johnny
