Hello, I apologize for not responding to your post prior to now. However, I have been too busy with our business issues and have had very little extra time to do anything else. If you are able to make the trip to St Cloud and could email me at oifadultcare@aol.com, we can communicate further and probably work something out that may be satisfactory for your time. Are you interested? Thanks, Saundra

Interesting, but it doesn't tell me what configuration you did for
the port forwarding. As I said, you need to arrange for the target PC
always to get the same IP address. Then you need to arrange to forward
external port <some_port> to port 3389 on the PC's address. From home,
you need to tell the Microsoft Remote Desktop client to connect to
<R8500_external_address>:<some_port> as the "PC name".
It's generally best to use a different external port from the
well-known one (3389) for a service like Microsoft Remote Desktop. Many
simple-minded attack programs try the well-known port, and quit if it
doesn't work. Using a non-default port makes it harder to guess the
right port.

Are you using more than one router?
As an example, here's what I did for a test:
Service External Internal Server
# Service Name Type Ports Ports IP Address
16 win10 Remote Desktop TCP/UDP 4389-4389 3389-3389 10.0.0.71
where my Windows target system was at 10.0.0.71:

You're not going to make me drive all the way from Saint Paul, are
you?
