REPLACING AC1900 WITH AC2300
I am going to be replacing a Nighthawk R7000(AC1900) with a Nighthawk R7000P(AC2300).
Can anyone tell me what all I am going to have to do, I am talking software wise, on the computer?
What if anything else will have to be changed??

If you use the same ssid on the new router that the old use, it should be a pretty simple swap.
I see the key word "should".
Will post when I do it next week after 18 March 2021.

"should' always gets involved whenever anything is being done.
we humans do mess up or miss things.

Same password too should work.
It is usually only when a wifi client complains that all hell breaks loose.
You can be more likely to have problem with desktop devices. Windows, for example, is very good at protecting you from "evil" networks. And a new router could make it grumpy.

Out if interest, what do you expect this to give you?
I've never had problems with an R7000P on my second network, but there are people who prefer the R7000.

The Nighthawk R7000(AC1900) where the 2.4GHz stopped working. Updated firmware of router. Did so many things that I cannot remember them all. In the end, 2.4GHz still will not work. None of the 2.4GHz mobile devices in the house, printer & Alexa are two, will hook up.
The Nighthawk R7000P(AC2300) is suppose to handle more mobile devices & this router supports MU-MIMO, which I do not have now.

I doubt if you will notice a huge difference. How many wifi devices do you have in mind?
Not sure what "suppose to handle" means. To really beef up the number of wifi devices you'd probably need something like an Orbi, which also does Mesh, for "seamless" wifi.

Among experienced users, the R7800 is more popular than either of the R7000s.
However, the R7000P does come with bells and whistles that appeal to some people while annoying others. Things like Circle and Armor are new, but at the expense of features that have their fans, like DLNA.
Received the Nighthawk R7000P(AC2300) on 12 March 21. The install was fairly easy. Used the routers info to get the computers that are hard wired with any trouble. Alexa is now working which means that the 2.4GHz is working. The HP ENVY Pro 6455 took a little more work but finally figured it out & got it to work.
Thank you for input from everyone.
