Router blocking one domain
This is the oddest thing I've ever encountered. My Nighthawk X4 AC2350 blocks beckwithmansion.com (which I own). I've eleminated it being a website, hosting, ISP or computer problem. It all points back to my router.
I've done everything I can think of:
rebooted the cable model
rebooted the router
rebooted my PC
turned off all ACLs on the router
updated the router firm ware
changed DNS to Google's 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4
etc.
If I move my cable directy to the cable modem (bypassing the router) I can access beckwithmansion.com just fine. It is only when I'm going through the router that the site is blocked.
Any other suggestions?
It went away as mysteriously as it happened.
I have a theory... My theory is it had nothing to do with the router, and everything to do with my ISP and HTTP'ing to my webhost.

What kind of "blocks" is this? What's an actual error message (from,
I assume, some Web browser or other)?

And I can reach the site from here.

Which is running some version or other of Windows?

What, exactly, does that mean? ADVANCED > Security > ???

Changed _whose_ DNS, how?
I see this domain as a GoDaddy server, currently at 198.71.248.67.
Can you get the error page from that server if you specify its address
instead of the desired domain?
If the router is hopelessly confused, then it may be time to try the
usual panacea, a full ("factory") reset (and reconfiguration).- dbwaltonAspirant

Access Control Lists - yes, advanced security.
>> updated the router firm ware

V1.0.0.110

instead of the desired domain? If I http://198.71.248.67 it times out too.

Here's the latest...
Pushed and held the reset button for well over 7 seconds as the manual recommends for factory setting.
That accomplished nothing. I still cannot get to beckwithmansion.com through this router.

Hi dbwalton,
Try changing the MTU size of the router.
https://kb.netgear.com/24015/How-do-I-change-the-MTU-size-on-my-Nighthawk-router
What is the exact error message when trying to access it?
- dbwaltonAspirant
Yup, tried all of that.
The message from Chrome is,
This site can’t be reached
beckwithmansion.com took too long to respond.
Other browsers receive timeout errors too.
Now, what does work is if I go through a proxy server. Also, if I swap out my Netgear router for my Dlink router, the Dlink router gets there just fine.
