My modem went out and had to buy a new one, now I can't get my extender to connect to it. What do I need to do? Please help!

    Need some details.

    1. what modem/gateway did you replace it with (model)?

    2. what method of setup are you using? WPS, using the installation assistant, or using the app?

    3. where is it failing? What error are you getting? Details are key in helping out and determining where its failing/whats going wrong. Help us to help you

    4. I take it you mean the EX7000 and not the RX7000 (there isn't that model number)?

If so, install guides/videos can be found here:

  • When I go to log it in to my network it won't let me bc it keeps picking up my my old modem. I can get the extender on my phone but then it doesn't let me login from my phone bc it's not hooked up to WiFi. I'm not very good at this tech stuff at all. I replaced my modem with the same one I had just had a different password now:AC 1200 Netgear router.

You didn't really tell us much.

      1. still don't know what modem/gateway you have.

      2. AC1200 is a speed not a model.

      3. don't know firmwares

      4. did you try factory resetting and reinstalling the extender? (push and hold reset for 7-15 seconds while powered on)
